About Amazing Devices
Amazing Devices publishes reviews of tablets and e-readers, streaming devices, smart speakers and displays, security cameras and doorbells, TVs and audio, and smart home devices, written from the manufacturer’s own published specifications and documentation. We do not use the devices we review, and every review says so.
What this site is
A device listing gives you a screen size, a resolution, a storage figure, a battery figure, a list of ports and a compatibility line, and leaves you to work out whether any of it matters for how you will use it. The reviews here take one device at a time and read those numbers for what they imply: whether a 1080p tablet is fine for video and poor for reading, whether a streaming stick’s “4K” includes the HDR format your TV has, whether a battery camera’s “two years” survives a busy driveway, whether a smart bulb needs a hub the listing does not mention.
The site covers tablets & e-readers, streaming, smart speakers & displays, security cameras & doorbells, tvs, soundbars & audio and smart home devices. Each review sits in one of those categories, and the categories are what the navigation is built around.
What we do not do
We do not set up devices, stream on them, watch their cameras, talk to their assistants or run down their batteries. No device described here has been out of its box for us. A review on this site is a reading of what the manufacturer publishes, written for someone deciding whether that device fits their home, their phone and their other devices, and we would rather say that plainly than imply hands-on experience we do not have.
We do not publish star ratings, review counts, or exact prices. Where a manufacturer has not published a specification, a review says so instead of guessing.
Who writes this
Ethan Carter, Editor, is the byline on every review. Ethan is an editorial name rather than a person you could look up, and we would rather say so than let a fabricated biography do work it has not earned. There are no trade credentials behind it, and there should not be: a site that states on every page that it does not use devices has no business presenting an expert as its author.
What stands behind a review is the method, which is written down, and the manufacturer’s published figures, which you can check.
What changed in 2026
For its first two years this site reviewed whatever appeared under a device search, which meant replacement remotes, tablet cases, screen protectors, outlet hangers, cables and protection plans were reviewed alongside the devices. In September 2026 we went through all 1,387 pages and removed 375 from search — replacement remotes, cases and covers, screen protectors, stands, mounts and outlet hangers, cables, adapters and chargers, protection plans, skins, a telescope and a griddle. The 1009 pages that remain are devices. The removed pages still exist for anyone who arrives at them, but they are no longer what this site is about and we no longer ask search engines to index them.

Corrections
If a specification in a review is wrong — the manufacturer restated it, the listing changed, or we misread it — it is worth more to us to know than to look right. The contact page says what makes a correction actionable.
